Maren (they/them) is the author of Growing Home, a queer cozy post-apocalyptic fantasy novel that explores themes of climate change and resilience.

Maren's work has been published in Club Chicxulub, Altered Reality, Generic Magazine, the Fruitslice, and a short story anthology published by Bookshop Santa Cruz. They are currently querying their next novel, School of Queens, a sapphic YA murder mystery set at a haunted academy where elite students train in an internationally competitive strategy game, and drafting an academic rivals-to-lovers adult romance.

They were born and raised in Santa Cruz, California, and the redwoods will always keep hold of their heart. After high school, Maren headed to Boston where they recieved a BFA in Creative Writing from Emerson College and currently work as an audio engineer.
